Amended Motion to Redact
Official Procedure -

04/29/2019 - Created

An Amended Motion to Redact should be filed whenever the Motion to Redact or attachments are being amended. We have created a special Amended Motion for this request, since this type of motion is not scheduled for hearing.
If a Motion to Redact is filed on a closed case, a Motion to Reopen is NOT required.
When filing an amended motion to redact, you MUST use the "Amended Motion to Redact Filing per Rule 9037(a)" event. The event will require you to relate to the original Motion to Redact in CM.
This procedure applies to all filers (attorneys, trustees and limited filers).
If a Motion to Redact is filed on a closed case, a Motion to Reopen is NOT required.
If the motion is filed on a closed Cook county case, the order will be prepared by the chambers of the Chief Judge.
If the motion is filed on a closed outlying county case, the order will be prepared by the chambers of the Judge who is assigned to that county.
Please remember to include a redacted document and proposed order as attachments.
